Arrester Leak Tester
DAC-LAS-3 can measure a total leakage current and a resistive component of the leakage current of surge arresters (gapless arresters) only by clamping a ground wire even on line. Generally, surge arresters (gapless arresters), which necessarily important for protecting electric machines from being damaged by lightning, are surely deteriorated due to every thunderbolt or aging. Thus, periodical maintenances are always required in order to verify their conditions. For the maintenances, detecting the resistive component is one of the most effective means, because it is known to be increased by deteriorations.
